Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Gitsize ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our free image resizing tool. The short version: we don't collect your images, and we collect almost nothing else.

Data Collection

Gitsize does not collect personal data. We do not require an account, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not track you across the web. The tool runs entirely in your browser.

Image Processing

All image processing happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded to our servers. We never see, store, or have access to the files you process with Gitsize. When you close the browser tab, your images are gone from our reach completely.

Cookies

Gitsize itself does not set cookies. However, third-party services we use (see below) may set cookies in your browser.

Third Party Services

Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to display ads on the site. AdSense may use cookies to personalize the ads you see based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ad Settings.

Google Analytics (optional): We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site (page views, country, browser). Analytics data is anonymized and is never tied to your identity or your images.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data to third parties. We have no data to sell.

Children's Privacy

Gitsize is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. We encourage you to check back periodically.
